This was a disappointment to me and my mother in law. The talent was good ,but production very lack luster. I love theatrical performances and honestly this is the first one I have been bored with. Thank goodness I knew the storyline as we could not hear all of the performers lines. To have the band in the middle of the stage for both acts, everything black,no costume or set changes made me feel as if this was a high school production on a budget.I had been a season ticket holder last season and frequent this theater, but very sorry I spent the money this time!! :(
HORRIBLE!!! REALLY REALLY NOT GOOD!!!
I have seen this show in South Florida before and it was amazing! Then, I saw the movie and it was even better! To see this production performed on a small stage to begin with, but occupied with such an inordinately large representation by the band, made for a teenie, tiny area for the performers to perform! The stage was EXTREMELY dark, as were the costumes (showed no imagination. We disliked the show so much that my wife, daughter and I all left at intermission. I was sad that I had recommended this show to them on a Sunday. Total waste of time!
